Guide to the Conference
We would like to welcome you to our first joint conference focusing on HIV and STIs, within a local Maltese context. This conference, which has been planned for several years but postponed due to COVID-19 is taking place today as a result of collaboration between the Health Promotion and Diseases Directorate (HDPD), particularly Sexual Health Malta, and the Malta LGBTIQ Rights Movement’s HIV Malta campaign. Speaking at this conference are professionals who come from HDPD, together with other speakers from the Infectious Diseases Unit, the GU Clinic and Keynote Speakers from London’s Royal Free Hospital and Higgins Trust Foundation.
On this page you may find the Bios of today’s speakers, the Menu for the coffee break and lunch, together with a Questions and Feedback form that you can use throughout this conference, and even afterwards, to send questions and feedback to the speakers and the organisers.
Please try to use preferred pronouns when addressing speakers. The preferred pronouns are listed in the agenda and also in the Bios further down in this page. Where a speaker’s preferred pronouns are He/They, that means that when addressing the speaker you can either use he/him or they/them. A guide on the use of pronouns and why these are important can be found here.
Joe Grima (MGRM) and Maria Axisa & Annabelle Camilleri (Sexual Health Malta)
